TWELFTH NIGHT AT SHEFFIELD PEACE GARDENS:
Last night I attended Twelfth Night in Sheffield Peace Gardens with my sister, my friend and my 14 year old son, Fraser.
I 'did' Twelfth Night at school (ie squeezed the life out of it), have ADHD and am a complete fidgeter. My son wants to be an actor and worries he doesn't really 'get' Shakespeare. Truth to tell, though we love the Peace Gardens neither of us was really looking forward to it. In fact, we were enthralled. The production held our attention from start to finish, we laughed and whispered our attention and 'got' every bit of it. There were some fabulous individual performances (we chose our favourites on the way home: Sir Toby (thank you), Olivia, Malvolio); most of all we all loved how it all flowed together.
I sat (more or less) still and Fraser is excited about
Shakespeare now - result! Thank you for surprising and delighting us.

a brilliant time. You have an amazing cast and would highly recommend anyone
of any age to go along and experience these plays.

I had never read nor seen Twelfth Night before but was really entertained
by the production by GB Theatre company. The cast were superb, with excellent
timing and also with great body language and expression which really added
extra comedic value and some modern wit to the script. In particular, I
really warmed to Sir Toby (played by the company’s manager David
and Feste, the Fool (played by Oliver Cudbill), but I couldn’t fault any
of the performances.
I just would like to congratulate you all on the excellent performance
of Twelfth Night, that I watched yesterday at Trinity College in Dublin.
A fantastic cast with good performances all around. I had a fantastic night,
and I'm definitely recommending the play to everyone and coming back for
This weekend in Dublin I saw my first time I ever saw a Shakespearean
play live; Twelfth Night; or, What You Will and it was wonderful. Thank
you for the great experience.
We went to see Twelfth Night on Tuesday evening, and it was an extremely
professional and enjoyable production. The characters are terrifically
cast, and all have a wonderful comic turn.
